This bluebill was used at the Pine Island Club in Corolla, North Carolina, a rigmate decoy is published on page 268 of Gunnin' Birds by Kroghie Andresen.

The Pine Island Club is an almost 3000 acre refuge near Corolla Village and was generously donated to the National Audubon Society by Earl Slick in 1979. The decoys from this fabled club are very important.
