Edo period (1615-1868), a carved wooden reticulated architectural panel, likely a window or transom panel, beautifully carved with a Rinpa inspired pattern of following stream and floral medallions, carved to be viewed from both sides, surrounded by a silvered gilt wooden frame.

38 1/4 x 43 1/2 x 1 1/2 in.

General wear and scratches to wood; some minor losses to carving; some stress cracks to wood; dirt to wooden surface; two drill holes to one side of exterior panel frame.
