Avon, North Carolina, this pintail is hollow and was used in his personal rig while hunting his blind out on the reef from Avon, it is extremely well made and shows his versatility as a decoy maker; a master work.

Manson was a legendary waterman from the Outer Banks. He began carving at the age of twelve by making a rig of yellowlegs. He joined the coast guard in 1935 and retired in 1972 with the rank of commander. His decoys are very rare and collectible.
