The first circa 1900 with shaped and carved crest rail, Gothic arch pierced and carved back splat, shaped arms with molded edge, stylized flame stitch upholstered slip seat, molded seat rail, cabriole front legs with acanthus carved knee on ball and claw feet, rear down-swept legs (38.5 x 24.5 x 18 in., seat height 18 in.); the second a late 19th century example with relief carved and shaped crest rail, Gothic arch pierced back splat, shaped arms with scrolled knuckle, stylized flame stitch upholstered slip seat, molded seat rail, front cabriole legs with acanthus carved knee on ball and claw feet, rear down-swept legs (39 x 23.5 x 19 in., seat height 18 in.).
