A Chinese "Birthday" Porcelain Teapot and Four Teacups with Saucers

19th century, includes a teapot, four teacups with handles and four saucers, decorated in famille rose enamels and gilt highlights on a yellow ground with four round medallions each containing one of the four characters “wan shou fu jiang” (wishes for a long life without end) amidst swirling clouds, in center of the plates is a longevity "shou" symbol encircled by waves and mountains peaks symbolizing the cosmos, key motif around the rim, the exterior sides of the saucers have floral and vine decoration, six character Guangxu mark in iron red to underside of each.

Teapot 4 5/8 in.; Teacup 2 3/8 in.; Saucer 4 7/8 in. diameter

One saucer with a rim nick; many with kiln glaze defects to rims; teapot with two slight nicks to interior rim and one nick with loss of enamel to underside of rim of spout; not examined under UV blacklight.
