J & R Clews, Burslem, England, 1820-30, transfer patriotic theme having a border of (15) states named within banners. Left of the central scene of a stately home, is a portrait bust of George Washington beside "Blind Justice." Underside with impressed mark "Clews Warranted Staffordshire."

Clear transfer pattern; minor flakes to inner rim; cutlery marks; upper rim left area of 1 1/2 in. lacks glaze; underside with discoloration.
