Tucker Daniels worked as a caretaker and guide at the Bodie Island Club. He helped rebuild the Duck Island Club in the 1920s and was a guide there. This black duck was likely made there, very rare species by the maker as he carved mostly brant.

Original paint worn to bare wood in places; age check in the bottom.
