19th century, mahogany case with light wood edge inlay, broken arch pediment surmounting the instrument, the case with dry / damp hygrometer, archway alcohol thermometer, center convex mirror mount, above a large round main dial and spirit level, each behind glass; various inscriptions to verso and interior including a graphite inscription to interior door "F. A. Molteni 1877." Contains mercury.
