Lot Details & Additional Photographs
Pungo Ridge, Virginia, circa 1920, carved and painted wood, published on page 21 of Gunnin' Birds by Kroghie Andresen.

Length 8.5 in.

From the Personal Collection of Philip and Susan Harvey

Bob Fentress grew up farming but mainly made a living by working as a market hunter, guide, and waterman. He made all of his decoys from cypress knees. Over the years, as the wood continued to dry, they became very light, extremely rare.

Original paint worn to bare wood in places, small chip to right side of the bill.
