Detroit, Michigan, circa 1910, carved and painted wood, tack eyes with original wooden display bases, each bird branded CASS.

Under each base, Walter Bush inscribes, "Mallard / Made by Mason Decoy Factory, Mich. / From the Currituck Shooting Club, Poplar Branch, NC. Each mallard is branded CASS which ties ownership to C.A Cass who purchased Deed #2 (No. 141) for Room 10 of the Currituck Shooting Club on November 1, 1939 The Staten Island Historical Museum utilized a coding system with numbers painted in red. The hen is marked as A51-54 and the drake is marked A51-46.
