19th century, opaque colors, ink and gold on paper, the noble figure is featured standing on a white marble veranda with a luxurious pink floral rug and framed with a rich green curtain, he is wearing jewels associated with rulers of the Mughal empire, pearls with precious stones, lush flora and fauna are painted behind him and a tranquil blue sky with scattered puffy clouds, yellow and red border having black and white rules, framed with fabric mat.

Purchased in Old Delhi during the 1960s.

Some light rubbing and wear to the paper, especially in sky near figure's chest; some light dirt discoloration to clouds and lower right corner area; fabric mat has stains; wear to edges of the frame.
