Glazed ceramic, ovoid form vase and bulbous foot, having a bright lemon glaze with speckled green and black accents, the obverse and reverse with matching solitary Matisse-like figure depicted holding head in both hands over a lemon shaped motif, incised potters signature, numbered 5/20, and stamped to underside.

Also included is the 1999 catalogue from the artist's solo exhibition "La Joie de Vvire: Pastels, Paintings, Ceramics, Serigraphs" at Hammer Galleries in New York, the vase depicted on the back cover of the catalogue.

Some scattered light crazing, otherwise good estate condition.
