Qing dynasty (1644-1912), 18th or 19th century, the front of an imperial kesi dragon blue cotton gauze robe now mounted as a hanging panel, with a central frontal facing five clawed dragon, and three more side facing dragons amidst swirling clouds, above universal symbol of three mountains, waves below, multiple silk and brocade borders around the panel and a thick border at the top of tan silk with embroidered silk blue butterflies.
lined with blue cotton silk to reverse.

Some wear and loss and loose threads, especially at top left corner of dragon panel; some loose threads in lower portion of textile; some losses and wear to fabric at edges; fading to fabric in areas; some scattered stains.
