Retailed by N. E. Crittenden of Cleveland, Ohio, circa 1850, gold wash to bowl, the handle terminus featuring an applied cast oyster shell (the original top of the shell, now missing, was hinged and would open to reveal the meat within), period monogram to verso of handle.
