These engravings were created by Charles Errard after anatomical renderings by the Italian scholar and surgeon Bernardino Genga (1620-1690). Both men were involved with the Academie de France in Rome; Errard as the first director, and Genga as an anatomy instructor to the artists.

Soft cockling and light foxing to each sheet; not examined out of the frames.
