Joseon dynasty (1392-1910), ink, mineral, and opaque colors on silk, each panel is hand painted with pairs of birds, lush flowers and fruits corresponding with the seasons, the pairs of birds symbolize martial fidelity, the flowers and fruit symbolize wealth and prosperity, this type of auspicious and elegant screen would have been created to decorate the room of a bride or as a gift to an important foreign envoy.

Purchased and remounted in South Korea during the 1970s.
