Lot Details & Additional Photographs
Poplar Branch, North Carolina, circa 1920, carved and painted wood.

From the hunting rig of Joseph Knapp.

Wallace O'Neal, Jr sold his sink box rig to Joe Knapp in the 1930s. Knapp cut the bodies down in order to create a wider beam so the decoys could ride the Currituck chop better. Joseph Knapp founded Ducks Unlimited in 1937. His mark on wetlands conservation cannot be measured.

Old gunning paint with moderate wear.
