Silversmith Garrett Eoff was born August 29th, 1779 in Pluckamin, New Jersey. He apprenticed with Abraham Gerritse Forbes (c.1793-1797/8). He held a store at 39 Warren Street and 23 Elm Street until 1814, and is listed at 3 Elm Street until 1819. With growing success, he opened a new silver and jewelry store at 163 Broadway until 1825. Garrett was involved with several firms including: Eoff & Howell with Paul Howell 1805-1807; Eoff & Conner with John H. Conner (1832-1834); Eoff & Moore with John Chandler Moore (1835).

Some scattered scratches, otherwise good estate condition.
