The bowl mark of William Gale & Son, New York City, active 1850-1866, with rope form rim and chased floral design, without monogram (4 1/4 x 6 3/8 x 4 7/8 in.); master salt with repoussé scrolling floral designs and gilt wash interior, the front and back cartouches with monogram and date of 1854, otherwise appears unmarked (acid tested silver) (2 5/8 x 3 in.).
