Qing dynasty (1644-1912), ink and colors on silk, each painting depicts elegant women dressed in Ming dynasty style attire gathered together engaged in leisure and scholarly activities such as music, calligraphy and reading, each painting framed with two mats in a gilded frame, not examined outside of the frames.
