Early Train and Accessories by Ives, "O" Gauge
Lot Details & Additional Photographs
The first item is "Ives Miniature Railway Set," an engine #1 and two cars with some track, in original box with rare lithographed manual; a Union Station model, tin lithograph (9 1/2 x 22 x 10 1/2 in.) and a tunnel attributed to Ives.

From the Estate of the late Dr. & Mrs. George A. Engstrom, Concord, North Carolina

Ives Manufacturing Co. was in business 1868-1932. Ives began producing the first "O" gauge trains in the United States to run on sectional track. Although other companies produced electric trains, Ives chose to use clockwork probably because many homes lacked electricity.

Train box with tears, as is condition; Union Station has bent roof, some litho fading, deterioration to the metal finish.
