19th century, likely English, trunk form with hinged lid and single drawer, burlwood veneer lid and front with central inlaid rectangular cartouche (no monogram) and matching escutcheon, opens to a custom divided mahogany and ebony wood veneer interior, with removable mirror and document storage to lid underside, interior lined in blue and brown leather with gilt border decoration, two compartments with violet upholstery, the case fitted with (5) jars having cut glass stoppers, and (4) containers having unmarked silverplate lids.

Some veneer scratches, loss and cracks; areas of sun-fading to upper lid exterior; silverplate lids with some bleed and missing some mounts; areas of loss and wear to leather and upholstered areas; small vertical blemish to mirror; some small chips to glass glass jars; no key.
