Manson Meekins carved this oversized redhead decoy to use in Back Bay. It was carved in the style of the Michigan decoys where he had been stationed. He retired in 1972, after 37 years in the Coast Guard, with the rank of commander. A rig mate is published on page 356 of Gunnin' Birds by Kroghie Andresen.
