Artist Nahum Tschacbasov was born in Russia but emigrated to the Unites States with his family when he was young, settling in Chicago. As a practicing artist throughout a large span of the twentieth century, Tschacbasov's work exhibits a range of influences, from Cubism to Surrealism to Byzantine.
