Meiji period (1868-1912), flower container consists of two parts, one being the bulbous bottom with wide section of reticulated coin motifs between blue painted floral ground, and a long cylinder flower holder with flared rim neck that fits into the bottom section, signed to the underside.

Overall good estate condition; drilled to bottom of interior flower container and underside of reticulated base, probably formerly mounted as a lamp; some old paper tape remains on neck of flower container where it rests on base.
