Pat O'Neal made some classic redheads and canvasback decoys which he hunted with his sinkbox. He sold this hunting rig which included this pair to the Swan Island Club. The hen is branded JL for Joe Lewark, a guide at the club.
Exhibited at Duke University 2023.

Old gunning paint and working neck repairs on both decoys, hen has some wood wear on bottom of the bill, the drake is hit by shot.
