Solomon Beasley was a master carpenter in Currituck County. He built quality furniture, decoys, and boats. His decoys are extremely rare and most were made before the turn of the century. His decoys have a very distinctive pinched bill.

Old gunning paint, multiple age checks in the body, carpenter bee hole on the right side, working repair to the neck, wear to the tail.
