Powells Point, North Carolina, circa 1930s, carved and painted wood, drake has an incised P brand, published on page 227 of Gunnin' Birds by Kroghie Andresen, the drake published on page 41 in the January/February 1989 issue of Decoy Magazine.

Dexter Snow carved some unusual decoys that have attractive boat hull shaped bodies. In 1940, he became superintendent of the Whalehead Club.
Exhibited at Duke University 2023.
The drake exhibited at the Rice Museum Georgetown, South Carolina 1988.

Original paint with moderate gunning wear, drake has some paint loss on each side, hen has working repair to the neck.
