The George Scarborough canvas geese are an important part of North Carolina decoy heritage. His canvas geese are some of the earliest made on the Outer Banks. This sleeper goose is a significant part of North Carolina decoy heritage. Extremely folksy with cork rib construction and a cypress root head, it is one of the earliest known canvas geese made on the Outer Banks.
Exhibited at Duke University 2023.
