Edo period (1615-1868), circa 1857, ink and colors on paper, includes two woodblock prints from the series Genji goju yojo, each represents a chapter from the Tale of Genji, the prints are a deluxe printing with gold leaf effects and embossing to paper, both presented loose, but attached with unknown adhesive at top margin to paper mats.

14 7/8 x 10 in., 14 1/2 x 9 5/8 in.

Some light overall toning to paper; some wear and dirt to top and bottom edges.
