From the Collection of Richard Hall, Raleigh, North Carolina Because of the lower used for chromium oxide, as well as a lower finishing temperature, this glaze has a propensity to flake more easily than other glazes used on earthenware during the pre-war period.
Roughness at lower rim where drips were originally ground or broke; flake to each handle; flake to rim.
