20th century, Edo style merchant chests with sliding doors and multiple drawers to each for storing items, hirute and burakan handles to drawers, red lacquer exterior to front, sides, and top, back and interior is painted black.

One with some cracking and loss to top corner, same cabinet with some wear to side corner beams that extend outwards; second cabinet with some cracking with loss to red lacquer in small area on one sliding door; some general overall wear from use.
