19th century, a finely carved kneeling monk, with a serene facial expression, realistic eyes, elongated hands together in pray, feet tucked tightly behind his body, painted in red lacquer and gold, wearing a robe that waterfalls behind him, the edges are decorated in raised gilt and inlaid with colored glass.

17 3/4 x 16 x 13 in.

Overall good estate condition; some stress cracks to wood; some losses to decoration on robe at the back hem.
