Qing dynasty (1644-1911), possibly Huanghuali, a very fine Scholar's Seal Box (Guanpixiang), with hinged top that lifts to reveal a shallow storage shelf, two front hinged doors open to reveal four small drawers above one larger drawer, moon shaped lock plate and hardware hinged bands, handles flank the box sides, raised platform bottom.

A few wood stress cracks to cover; some scattered light scratches to surface; some hardware may be later; loose support wood in one drawer that has come apart from interior resulting in one drawer dropping down slightly when closed; some later wood added to reverse side of drawers; no lock to front closure; some sun fading to top of box.
