Early 19th century, banjo form case in mahogany veneers with lightwood edge inlay, broken arch pediment with inlaid marquetry shell, above an arch-framed mercury thermometer, the engraved steel main dial between light and dark concentric round inlays, verso cistern door reveals mercury tubing intact, unsigned.
