This decoy has a flatter form with a heavy chine and some collectors have referred to this style as his pancake body. The head has a v carved at the top of the bill instead of the typical smooth transition from head to bill. The head may have been carved by neighbor Joe Hayman. Neighborly collaborations in decoy making was a common event.
