George III Mahogany Tall Case Clock

18th century, mahogany veneer, pine secondary, painted metal face with moon dial featuring figures fishing, second and date dials, marked "Jos.h Burn, Walsall.", tombstone hood with conforming glazed hinged door with fully turned columns, turned wood finials, the case with applied cove molded and carved arch and dentil trim, shaped and lipped waist door flanked by fluted quarter columns with ormolu mounts, the base with applied molded edge, chamfered corners with fretwork, shaped bracket foot base, with two weights and pendulum.

90 x 21.5 x 10 in.

Fair condition; bending to top arch of metal face and with paint loss; forward lean to case; waist door reset with cracks near hinges; later finials; shrinkage cracks and separations to base; later feet. Please see Terms and Conditions of Sale: Clocks and Watches.
