Woodcut on laid paper, 1496, possibly printed later, alternate title is The lamentation, underneath a t-shaped cross, five women and St John mourning over the body of Christ, unframed. Meder 186.

Our research has uncovered only one other impression of this print, and it is located in the British Museum, London. The British Museum points out that there are differing opinions on this print: Meder believes that the British Museum woodcut is a unique impression, while Dogdson believes this work is by a Dürer imitator ("Notes on Dürer," The Burlington Magazine, 1922, p.18).
