20th century, ink and colors on paper, the pair of paintings has red crested cranes flying in the sky and gathered together beneath pine and peach trees, below are bamboo stalks and lingzhi, all auspicious symbols in Chinese culture, the paintings are mounted with patterned cream silk, framed in identical manner in shaped art deco style gilt frames, without covers.
