With 34-1/2 in. blade, the ricasso marked US with inspector's initials JCW and 1865 on the right side of the blade; the wooden grip with remnants of leather underneath the brass wire; knuckle bow numbered "100" while the pommel is stamped "VII 91 JH," lacking scabbard.

Light pitting and stable oxidation to the blade; old cleaning to the guard that is re-toning; good estate condition.
