Chinese Porcelain Famille Jaune "Birthday" Bowl and Bowl with Cover

Late 19th or early 20th century, includes a bowl and bowl with cover, both decorated in famille rose enamels with gilt highlights on a yellow ground, four round medallions each containing one of the four characters “wan shou fu jiang” (wishes for a long life without end) are surrounded by swirling clouds, above the foot rim of the bowl are waves and mountain peaks symbolizing the cosmos, interior well of bowl with five bats encircling a longevity symbol, the bowl with cover has an aqua ground border to interior populated with peaches and bats, the well with a crane medallion, both bowls have a key motif around the rim, the bowl with a six character Guangxu mark in iron red to the underside, the bowl with cover has a four character seal script mark to cover and to underside of bowl.

Some kiln glaze defects to rims; some light rubbing and wear to enamels and gilt.
