A Chinese Porcelain Famille Jaune "Birthday" Center Bowl

Late 19th or early 20th century, a center bowl decorated to the interior well with five bats in polychrome enamels encircling a longevity "shou" symbol, three iron red bats fly about the sides, a ruyi border encircles the rim, the exterior sides of the bowl are decorated in famille rose enamels and gilt highlights on a yellow ground with four round medallions each containing one of the four characters “wan shou fu jiang” (wishes for a long life without end) amidst swirling clouds, all above a band of waves above the foot rim, the underside with a four character mark in iron red, and more text in iron red now illegible.

Good estate condition; small hairline to underside.
