One of the finest canvas swan decoys to come from North Carolina. Originally published as the work of Marvin Midgett but later determined to be the work of master maker Avery Tillet. The Avery Tillet canvas birds had some of the better carved heads compared to other makers. His heads were typically sanded down to perfection. Marvin Midgett heads typically had some hand tooling marks.
Exhibited at Duke University Hospital 2023.
