Manie Haywood's canvas decoys were some of the most sought after on the Outer Banks. He consistently made reliable canvas decoys that rode well in the water and were in great demand by guides and clubs. The artistic appeal of his birds quickly grew and the art community put his birds high on the list. This hen has his iconic grove in the forehead, a wood spine, and thick oval baseboard.

Original with light gunning wear, tears to canvas under the tail.
