Jim Pfeffer carved his first lure in 1925 with a simple pocket knife. Securing his first patent in 1950, Pfeffer began production of his lure patterns as a family business. While Pfeffer looked over the machine lathe production of his wood lures, his wife Betty was involved as a hands on painter of the early lures. Jim Pfeffer lures were recognized with both freshwater and saltwater fame. Today, these early lures some of the most ornate and sought after historical lures from Florida.
