Julian Hamilton, Sr. made his decoy with his cousin, Clyde Mason in the 1920s. Reportedly, they jointly carved them and shared in their use. Jack Dudley featured a rig mate on pages 114 and 115 of his book, Carteret Waterfowl Heritage
Original paint with moderate gunning wear, hit by shot, corrosion to iron elements.
