Former collection of Roy Willis and retains his original tag.

Alfred was born in Stacy on the "Ridge" in the western portion of the loop road. As a youngster his hair was very white and he received the nickname, "Cotton-eye". He began carving in the 1930s and kept a hunting camp on the Core Banks.
