Russell Waterfield was the grandson of legend Malachi Waterfield. Hie decoys had an oversized muscular look about them. In the 1920s, Russell Waterfield's business cards advertised oversized decoys for sale. He was true to his word. This canvasback is exceptional.

Original paint worn to primer in places, working repair to the neck, some wood decay to left side of the breast and at the fore rigging staple.
