Rex Brasher is one of America's great bird artists. His vast body of work—including nearly a thousand original paintings and lyrical descriptions of every bird species in North America—has remained largely unknown to the public for the past century. He set forth, and accomplished, an incredibly lofty goal to paint all the species and sub-species identified in the American Ornithologists’ Union’s Check-list of North American Birds. His magnum opus was Birds & Trees of North America, produced in a limited edition of 100 sets of 12 volumes, published in 1932.

Good estate condition; few minor spots to one; not examined out of frames.
