35 3/4 x 20 1/4 in.

Inspired by Andy Warhol's Campbell's Soup can Pop Art of the early 1960s, the Warhol Souper Dress was sold by the Campbell’s Soup Company in the late 1960s as a fashion statement and an advertisement for the company. Disposable paper dresses were in style at the time, and customers could redeem several soup can labels alongside a small fee for a Souper Dress. The dress could be cut to the appropriate hem length using the yellow stripes at the bottom, but this example retains its stripes. Though the back of the dress is slightly longer, it does not appear to have been hemmed.

Good condition; with folds as issued; some light signs of age (slight yellowing, few rubs).
